Now that you know the fundamentals of yoga, the emphasis on this series will be expanding your confidence so you can grow your practice. This series was created for the experienced beginner student that would like to explore their practice at a comfortable pace and in a safe environment. In a 5 week span you will be introduced to different and more challenging poses, sequences, transitions and preparations for more advanced level poses. The emphasis will be on proper alignment while you learn, practice and refine a full range of poses. Students will gain a greater understanding of the basic mechanics of breathing and linking asana (the pose) to breath.
This series is ideal for students that have practiced yoga before and are comfortable with the fundamental yoga poses but are ready to deepen their practice. This series is also appropriate for students that are restarting their yoga journey. This 5 week workshop with instructor Jessica Ross will prepare you to confidently join any of the Yoga Strong studio classes. Each week will build upon the one before, so students are encouraged to attend all 5 weeks to maximize your experience in the series.
