In this workshop, you will be taught a 30-40 minute flow to get your body warm and stretched. Next, you will be guided through how to foam roll (or technically speaking, perform self myofascial release) from your feet all the way up to your shoulders and neck. The goal is for you to not only learn how to foam roll, but why you should foam roll. In Morgan's classes for personal training, they strongly emphasized the importance of including rolling/SMR in one's exercise regimen in order to allow the muscles to properly recover. However, foam rolling isn't just for athletes/active individuals, because it is essentially a deep tissue massage, it is wonderful for everyone and helps to alleviate tension/soreness/pain caused by bad posture.
